Honest comparison

A Fedena alternative without the K-12 ERP weight.

Fedena is a full school ERP — attendance, examinations, library, transport, plus finance. EduPay is the local payment-focused tool — Greek interface, parent QR view, transparent €15–€45/month — built for frontistiria, ωδεία, σχολές χορού, language centers and martial arts academies in Cyprus and Greece.

TL;DR

Which one should you actually pick?

Pick Fedena if…

You run a K-12 school or college and you genuinely need attendance, examinations, library, transport, hostel, and HR modules in one platform. You have an admin team to drive the deployment, and you're comfortable with module-based pricing where each capability adds to the bill.

Pick EduPay if…

You run a tutoring center, frontistirio, ωδείο, σχολή χορού, language center or martial arts academy in Cyprus or Greece. You don't need a library or transport module. You need to know who paid, flag who didn't, and let parents see their balance without installing anything. €15–€45 per month, set up in an evening.

Side by side

EduPay vs Fedena — where they actually differ.

Both call themselves "school management software", but they target very different shapes of institute. Here's what matters for a frontistirio in Nicosia or an ωδείο in Athens.

The focus angle

Big software is powerful. Focused software ships.

🇨🇾

Built in Cyprus

Designed by people who watched frontistirio owners chase WhatsApp payments on Sunday nights — not a global K-12 ERP team.

🎯

One job, done well

Payments and parent visibility. No library module, no transport, no hostel. If your problem is "did the parent pay?", that's the only thing EduPay solves.

📱

QR over apps

Cypriot and Greek parents will scan a QR. Most won't install a school app.

Pricing you can see

€15, €29, €45 per month — based on student count. No quote, no sales call.

Setup in an evening

CSV import, classes, prices, print QRs. No deployment project.

🗓

Greek school year

Built around the August–June cycle, not a generic 12-month enterprise calendar.

Migration

Switching takes one evening.

If you're already on Fedena (or anywhere else), you can be on EduPay before the next billing cycle.

  1. Export your students.

Fedena → Students → Export to CSV. Or pull a list from your existing Excel.

  2. Import into EduPay.

Map columns (name, parent phone, class, monthly fee). Save. The dashboard fills up.

  3. Print or text the QR codes.

Each student already has a unique parent QR. Send it on WhatsApp the same day.

  4. Mark already-paid months.

Two clicks per row. Parents see the live status the next time they scan.

FAQ

Honest answers, not sales pitch.

Is EduPay a direct replacement for Fedena?

For payments, students and parent communication — yes. For attendance, examinations, library, transport — no, and we'll tell you that. If you need a full K-12 ERP, Fedena is the better fit.

I run a frontistirio with 80 students. Which is better?

Almost always EduPay. Fedena's full ERP is overkill for a frontistirio that just needs payment visibility — you'd pay several times more for modules you'll never enable.

Can I import my data from Fedena?

Yes. CSV import handles students, parent phones, classes and starting fees. Tests and historical payments can be marked manually after import.

Will my parents understand the QR thing?

Cypriot and Greek parents already scan QR codes for restaurant menus and ΚΤΕΛ tickets. Pointing a phone at a code is easier than installing the Fedena parent app, creating an account, and remembering a password.

What if I outgrow EduPay later?

You can export everything you've put in (students, payments, tests) at any time. If you grow into a real K-12 ERP, Fedena will still be there.
