1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using EduPay ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. These terms apply to all institute administrators and users of the EduPay platform.
2. Description of Service
EduPay is a cloud-based student payment management platform for private tutoring institutes. The Service allows institutes to manage student records, track monthly fee payments, generate QR codes for parent access, and manage subscriptions.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
To use EduPay as an institute administrator, you must register an account on our platform. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration.
4. Subscription and Billing
EduPay operates on a monthly subscription basis at €60 per institute per month. You can sign up for free and explore the platform without a credit card to see how it fits your needs.
- To gain full, uninterrupted access to the admin panel and all features, a valid payment method must be on file and an active subscription maintained.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused periods.
- Prices may change with 30 days' notice sent to your registered email address.
- All payments are processed securely by Stripe. EduPay does not store payment card data.
5. Free Registration
Signing up is free and requires no payment information. To begin actively managing your institute on EduPay, a subscription is securely activated via our admin panel. If your subscription is not active, access to the admin panel will be restricted. Your data is retained and fully accessible once you subscribe.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations.
- Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent student or payment records.
- Attempt to access another institute's data or bypass security controls.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or overload the Service.
- Share your admin credentials with unauthorised individuals.
7. Data Ownership
You retain full ownership of the student and payment data you enter into EduPay. EduPay processes this data on your behalf as a data processor. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for any purpose other than providing the Service.
8. Data Backup and Portability
You can export a full backup of your data at any time from the admin panel. We strongly recommend maintaining regular backups. While we take precautions to prevent data loss, EduPay is not liable for any data loss resulting from technical failures, accidental deletion, or account termination.
9. Service Availability
We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. We are not liable for losses resulting from downtime.
10. Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:
- Your subscription payment fails and is not resolved within a reasonable period.
- You violate these Terms of Service.
- We are required to do so by law.
Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before deletion. You may request a data export at any time before deletion.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EduPay shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including loss of revenue, data, or business opportunity. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that defects will be corrected.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece and the European Union, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or within the admin panel at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
